7 new QEP’s and 6 new MQEP’s was the result of last weekend’s qualification judging by the Federation of European Professional Photographers.
The exclusive group of top European Photographers welcomes this addition to their numbers.
"To obtain a QEP takes creativity, dedication and hard work", FEP President Neil Warner explains, "A QEP represents excellence and as such is a much sought after distinction awarded to those who achieve a level of perfection in their work."
Qualified European Photographer (QEP) is a high European distinction awarded amongst the 50.000 photographers in the FEP’s member organisations from 20 countries. Today approximately 350 photographers have received this prestigious distinction in various specialisations such as wedding, portrait, reportage, commercial, illustrative etc.
All panels of work were judged by highly qualified judges gathered from all of Europe. QEP’s are judged by judges from 5 nations and must get at least 3 votes to pass, while Master QEP’s are judged by judges from 7 nations and must obtain at least 5 votes to pass.
The international jury of the 22nd QEP judging session held on November 27th – 28th, 2010 in Brussels awarded the prestigious QEP title to 7 photographers.
